Whizz Kids' approach is a combination of multiple methods: Montessori, Waldorf and Orton Gillingham. Montessori uses apparatus for the hands-on approach of acquiring abstract concepts specifically for math. Waldorf’s approach of intervention is through exercises, activities, and interpretation of children’s drawings. Orton-Gillingham uses a multisensory phonics-based language approach.
The Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology's approach starts from the earliest point in development, from the time of conception, in order to identify the physical basis of learning difficulties. The intervention approach is based on addressing developmental delays and taking into account all factors that interfere with physical, cognitive, emotional, social development, visual and auditory perceptual disorders.
My belief in all of the mentioned methods is based on my life long learning and teaching experience that all students adapt different preferences/favored modalities for learning. My job is to use the approach which would work best for each student.
